Theodore H. Candee Jr

Theodore H. Candee Jr., 42, of Boston died unexpectedly on Tuesday at his parents' home in South Windsor, Conn. He was born in Great Barrington on Feb. 28, 1961, son of Theodore H. Candee Sr. and Louise Rathbun Candee of South Windsor. He had lived in Great Barrington until age 12 and moved to South Windsor in 1975, where he attended local schools. He also attended Pioneer Valley Academy in New Braintree, graduating in 1979. He earned his degree as a registered nurse in 1982 from Atlantic Union College in Lancaster. He also lived in Stoneham before moving to Boston. He had been employed by hospitals in the Boston area, Somerville and Cambridge for over 20 years. He enjoyed poetry and artistic photography, and was a writer, composer, singer and director. Besides his parents, he leaves two sisters, Doreen L. Candee of Glastonbury and Denise L. Millane of Ellington. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Theodore "Teddy" H. Candee Jr. will be Sunday, Dec. 21, at 11 at the Connecticut Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church, 354 Foster Road, South Windsor, Conn. Burial will be Monday in Elmwood Cemetery, Great Barrington. His family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 to 7 and Sunday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the SAMSEL & CARMON FUNERAL HOME, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 35 Cold Spring Road, Suite 411, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. He was predeceased by a sister, Deborah Lynn Candee, who died in 1963. He leaves special nieces and nephews, Sarrah Candee, Shannon, Sean Jr., and Erin Millane.
