Susan Touponce, 57, of North Main Road died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born Sept. 29, 1946, in Hartford, Conn., daughter of Russell Looby of Steinhatchee, Fla., and the late Florence Warley Looby, she graduated from Windsor (Conn.) High School. She moved to Otis in the early 1990s. She enjoyed cooking, baking and arts and crafts and was an active member of the Otis Senior Group. She enjoyed traveling and camping. Her husband, Richard H. Touponce Jr., whom she married Dec. 31, 1994, died Sept. 26, 1999. Besides her father of she leaves a son, Scott Catolane of Otis, and three sisters, Theresa Pelafini of New Marlboro, Laurie Freedman of Wolcott, Conn., and Kethy Ventre of Littleton, N.H. She was predeceased by a daughter, Heather Catolane. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Susan Looby Touponce, who died Dec. 22, 2003, will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 27, at noon at FINNERTY AND STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, by the Rev. Daniel Papineau, MIC. Burial will follow in St. Bridget's Cemetery in Housatonic. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 until the time of the service. Donations in memory of Susan Touponce may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Otis Senior Center through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
