Rena L. Lamas

Rena L. Lamas, 87, died yesterday at Laurel Lake Center for Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Torrington, Conn., on April 19, 1916, daughter of Joseph and Caroline Zarini Saporite, she attended local schools. She spent most of her life in Torrington and had resided on Cameron Street. Mrs. Lamas worked as a central supply clerk for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1977. Her husband, Angelo L. Lamas, died in 1990. She leaves a daughter, Gloria Prelli of Great Barrington; a brother, Leslie Saporite of Torrington, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Rena L. Lamas, who died Jan. 20, 2004, will be held Friday at 10:30 at GLEESON MORTUARY, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, Conn. Entombment will follow in St. Peter's Mausoleum. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 9:30 until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
