Anita M. Homeyer

Anita M. Homeyer, 82, of Copp Drive, Fremont, N.H., formerly of Great Barrington, died Saturday at home. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., on Feb. 12, 1921, daughter of Edward and Anna Rausch Arnheiter, she graduated from Piermont (N.Y.) High School. She had resided in Bergen County, N.J., before moving to Great Barrington in 1981 and to Fremont in 2000. A homemaker, she enjoyed animals. She leaves her husband of 58 years, William J. Homeyer; two sons, William C. Homeyer and Brian J. Homeyer, both of Great Barrington; a daughter, Janice Hughes of Lee, N.H., and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Homeyer. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Anita M. Homeyer, who died Jan. 24, 2004, will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 at St. Thomas More Church, Madbury Road, Durham, N.H. There will be a private burial in New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire SPCA, P.O. Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885. BREWITT FUNERAL HOME, 8 Pleasant St., Epping, N.H., is handling the arrangements. Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Debbie Homeyer and Diane Homeyer, and a son-in-law, Robert A. Hughes. She also was predeceased by a grandchild, Lauren Homeyer.
