David A. Vincent

David A. Vincent, 48, of 28 Thomas Island Road died Sunday at home after a six-month battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield on May 22, 1952, son of Donald and Josephine Kelley Vincent, he was a 1970 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. Mr. Vincent was employed as an order processor at Crescent Lee LLC for eight months until his illness. He had also worked as a carpenter for many years in Pittsfield, California and Florida. He was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Besides his parents, of Pittsfield, he leaves a son, Kris Kreis of Manhattan, N.Y., and two sisters, Karen Vincent of Pittsfield and Diane Vincent of Virginia Beach, Va. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. David also leaves a niece, Alison Howe of Virginia Beach, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles' Church or to St. Joseph's High School, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
