Mitchell J. Perras, 40

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mitchell James Perras, 40, of 59 East Quincy St., died Saturday night, Dec. 9, 2000, at North Adams Regional Hospital after being stricken earlier at his home.

Born on Oct. 20, 1960, at Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, N.Y., son of Frederick Henry and Carol Ann Healey Perras, he was educated in military schools at various bases where his father served during his military career.

Mr. Perras had resided in East Wilton, Maine, and was employed with Franklin Shoe company in Wilton, Maine. He returned to North Adams about two years ago and was employed with Cordmaster in North Adams at the time of his death.

He was a lonqtime motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed wrestling, concerts and art. He devoted time to artistic drawings and his love of animals.

Besides his parents, of North Adams, he leaves a son, Steven Mitchell Perras of Pittsfield; his fiancee, Louise Green Dent, and her daughter, Joelle Peterson, who resided with him; two sisters, Nenette Marie Simoneau of Newport, N.H., and Nicolette Magda Bump of North Adams; a brother, Matthew John Perras of Niceville, Fla.: nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Perras will take place Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshal St., with the Rev Daniel J. 0'Hear, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams, officiating.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in his memory through the Funeral Home.
