Elizabeth Ann Lord, 76
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elizabeth Ann "Betty Ann" Lord, 76, of 120 Harding Ave. died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after being stricken earlier at home.
Born in North Adams on March 20, 1928, daughter of Charles D. and Elizabeth M. Dooling Ryan, she graduated from Drury High School in 1945 and from the former St. Luke's School of Nursing in Pittsfield in 1948.
Mrs. Lord was employed for 22 years as a registered nurse at North Adams Regional Hospital, retiring in 1988.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She was an active volunteer for the Liferight Program and a member of the St. Luke's School of Nursing Alumni Society.
She and her husband, Bernard William Lord, were married Sept. 13, 1952, in St. Francis'Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Patricia Kasuba of North Greenbush, N.Y., and Mary Elizabeth Young of Glastonbury, Conn.; three sons, Michael Lord of Annapolis, Md., Richard Lord of Peabody and William Lord of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Mary Zuber of Pittsfield, and 11 grandchildren, Tara Lord, Kelley Lord, Lindsey Lord, Daniel Young, Patrick Young, John Young, Megan Lord, Rebecca Lord, James Lord, Connor Kasuba and Ryan Kasuba.
She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Daniel Ryan, in 1928.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Lord will be Friday at 10:15 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 to 8. Memorial donations are suggested for St. Francis' Church through the funeral home.
