Miss Anna J. Bloniarz, 90, of 15 East Hoosac St., Adams, died Thursday morning at Sweetbrook Nursing Home, Williamstown, where she was a client since 1995. Ms. Bloniarz was born in Adams on April 18, 1910. She was the daughter of Anthony & Petronela (Robakowski) Bloniarz. She attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School, the C.T. Plunkett Jr. High & was a graduate of the former Adams High School, class of 1928. She attended and was a graduate of the House Of Mercy School of Nursing and in 1931 was the recipient of the Registered Nurse's designation. Ms. Bloniarz was engaged in private nursing duty for some years and later on, was a Nurse-Care Giver in the area. She was employed for several years as the nurse supervisor of the Obstetrical Unit at the W.B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital. A communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish of Adams, she was a member of the House Of Mercy Alumnae Society. Ms. Bloniarz is survived by one brother, Anthony Bloniarz, M.D. of Springfield; 3 sisters: Ms. Albina C. & Cecilia H. Bloniarz and Charlotte E. Swistak, all of Adams, and nieces and nephews. 2 brothers, John J. Bloniarz, an Adams Funeral Director, and also and Adams High School instructor, & Frank A. Bloniarz, a Pittsfield Funeral Home operator, predeceased her in '86 & '81 respectively. Two sisters, Mary Bloniarz in 1975 & Josephine B. Wilk in 1987 predeceased her also. A funeral service for Ms. Anna J. Bloniarz will be Tuesday, December 19th at 10:30 AM in the McBride Funeral Home, with the Rev. John C. Chwalek Pastor of St. Stanilaus offering a prayer service in the Roman Tradition. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the prayer service, at 11:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Private calling hours for the family only, will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the service at 10:30 in the McBride Funeral Home.
