Cecelia Dufresne, 86
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Cecelia Dufresne, 86, a native of North Adams, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at St. Mary's Home in West Hartford, Conn., where she had resided for 10 years.
Born on Sept. 12, 1918, daughter of Anthony L. and Mary I. DeMarco Folino, she was educated in North Adams schools, including Drury High School. She moved to Connecticut in 1972.
A homemaker, Mrs. Dufresne was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for more than 20 years, until leaving in 1956.
She was a former communicant of St. Anthony's and St. Francis' Churches.
Her husband, Aurele Harold Dufresne, whom she married Oct. 31, 1953, died Feb. 6, 1972.
She leaves a daughter, Christine M. Dufresne and her husband, David Bajumpaa, of East Windsor, Conn., with whom she resided before entering St. Mary's Home; two sisters, M. Madeline Domenichini of North Adams and Venice Trombley of Tolland, Conn., and three brothers, Anthony E. Folino of Williamstown, Lawrence Folino of North Adams and Alfred Folino of Stafford Springs, Conn.
Her stepson, Orel George Dufresne, died April 4, 1991, and her brother Paul E. Folino on June 7, 2002.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dufresne will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 29, at 1:30 at St. Anthony of Padua Church by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Home in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
