DAISY E. BUDZ

Daisy E. Budz, 69, of 70 Langlois Ave. died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Newark, N.J., on March 22, 1931, daughter of Kenneth and Charlotte Branch, she was a 1949 graduate of Kearny High School in New Jersey. She was office manager of the family dental practice on Spring Street for many years, retiring in 1985 with her late husband, Chester H. Budz, D.D.S. Their son, Andrew, took over the practice, which is now on Main Street. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Cape Coral, Fla. In 1992, they returned to Williamstown. Mrs. Budz was a volunteer at the Women's Exchange and North Adams Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Williamstown Garden Club and was a model in several of the club's fashion shows. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint. Her husband, whom she married July 30, 1958, died Oct. 10, 1998. She leaves a daughter, Deborah A. O'Neil of Bow, N.H.; two sons, Andrew B. Budz Sr., D.D.S., and Edward K. Budz, both of Williamstown, and four grandchildren. Services for Daisy E. Budz will take place Tuesday at 10 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 from St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center through the funeral home. Survivors include four grandchildren, Thomas and Katie O'Neil of Box, N.H., and Alexandra Budz and Andrew Budz Jr., both of Williamstown.
