Henry C. Moreau Jr., 61

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Henry C. "Bud" Moreau Jr., 61, of 38 Murray Ave. died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on Feb. 27, 1951, a son of Patricia A. Blanchard Moreau Girard of North Adams and the late Henry C. Moreau Sr., he attended schools in North Adams. An Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam War era. Mr. Moreau was a self-employed contractor. He also had worked for several years at the former General Electric Co. in Pittsfield. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends and gardening. He was a lover of animals. Besides his mother, and his stepfather, John Girard, he leaves two sons, Robert Moreau and his wife, Julia, and Marc Moreau, all of North Adams; a daughter, Haley Moreau of North Adams; his longtime companion, Kathy Maxwell of North Adams; three sisters, Barbara Ayotte and her husband, Tom, of Cheshire, Susan Duquette of the town of Florida and Renee Choquette of Vernon, Conn.; his former wife, Lynn Swanson of Adams; two grandchildren, Dominic Moreau and Aubrey Floriani; and three stepsisters, Diane Collins and her husband, Brian, of North Adams, Jeanne Harvey and her husband, Larry, of North Adams and Toni Hean and her husband, Trey, of Southampton. He was predeceased by his stepsisters Sue Bourdon and Jeannette Girard. FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services for Mr. Moreau will take place Monday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoili-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Calling hours will be Monday from 3 to 5 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for his Grandchildren's Education Fund through the funeral home.
