Faith E. Nash, 93
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Faith Ellen Nash, 93, of Melbourne Place, 140 Melbourne Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Greenfield on May 20, 1919, daughter of Ralph and Florence Johnson Starkey, she attended North Adams schools and graduated from the Drury High School.
Mrs. Nash was employed for many years by the former A&P Supermarket in North Adams.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking and knitting and was a member of the Knitwits knitting club at Melbourne Place. She was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Zygamond Nash, whom she married on June 10, 1940, died on April 30, 1988.
She leaves four grandchildren, Robin Kennedy of Duluth, Ga., Jill Cullen and her boyfriend, Mark Davis, of Pittsfield, Thomas Cullen III and his wife, Deborah, of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Shawn Cullen of Enfield, Conn.; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Nash, Carrick and Cooper; a son-in-law, Charles Marceline of East Falmouth; a former son-in-law, Thomas Cullen Jr. and his wife, Audrey, of Salt Lake City; a former grandson-in-law, Jason Mitchell of Pittsfield, and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nash's family would like to acknowledge the care she received at Melbourne Place, which was her second family.
Her daughter, Sandra Nash Marceline, died Feb. 9, 2005, and her brother, Richard Starkey, is also deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE Services for Mrs. Nash will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
