Pittsfield-Taconic Football Game Site a Collection Point for Toys for Tots

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Berkshire Community College will be the site for Friday's city football battle between the Pittsfield Generals and the Taconic Thunder.
 
The annual rivalry game will kick off at 5 p.m., and the event will serve as collection point for the Berkshire County Sheriff's Department's "Toys for Tots" campaign.
 
Pre-game Senior Day festivities recognizing members of the Class of 2023 will begin at 4:30. Parents, guardians, and family members representing players from the Class of 2023 are encouraged to arrive to BCC early in order to participate in recognizing the senior class.
 
Spectators are encouraged to support the campaign by bringing a new, unwrapped toy or making a cash donation at the game.
 
As a reminder, in an effort to keep high school games safe and family-friendly for the entire community to enjoy, youth spectators must be accompanied by an adult. Middle school or elementary school students may not be dropped off at BCC alone, and will be denied entrance to games if unsupervised. Middle and elementary school students are required to be accompanied by their parents, guardians, or another adult who will take direct responsibility for their supervision at home football games.
 
Admission prices are $5 for adults, $3 for students\youth, and $3 for senior citizens. No backpacks are permitted at games played at BCC.
