WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Mount Greylock Regional High School boys and girls soccer teams each were seeded second and received byes in their respective Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament fields when the seedings were released on Wednesday afternoon.

McCann Tech's boys and Hoosac Valley's girls also received byes into the quarters and will open post-season action in the Western Mass quarters.

The Mount Greylock boys (11-3-4) await the winner of an opening round match between seventh-seeded Wahconah (7-5-4) and Sabis (9-9) in the quarter-finals. The Mounties beat Wahconah by scores of 4-2 and 1-0 in the regular season.

Mount Greylock's boys are on the opposite side of the draw from top-seeded Belchertown, which upended the Mounties last year in the semis.

Eighth-seeded Hoosac (9-6-2) will be playing at home in the first round against Athol (9-6-3) for the right to go on the road and face Belchertown (16-2).
