SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- What a difference one game makes.

One game after earning a 4-0 win over a winless Smith Vocational team, the McCann Tech boys' soccer team ran up against powerful Division 1 Sci-Tech squad. The Cybercats were too much for the Hornets to handle, outshooting the visitors 24-4 and scoring three goals in each half to claim a 6-0 win at home.

"Our team has never been victorious when facing this Division 1 co-op team with Renaissance," McCann head coach Adam Kozik said. "The Sci-Tech players have a lot of playing experience from different cultures and they play at a higher level. In general, they are faster and more skilled, plus they worked well as a team. We learned a lot about man-to-man marking, or lack thereof, and about playing a more fast-paced game."

Hornets goalie Connor Vazquez made 15 saves on the day. McCann (3-8-1) next plays at Ware at 4 p.m. on Friday.
