Mount Greylock Boys Win at Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – A short-handed Mount Greylock boys soccer team Tuesday got goals from four different players to earn a 4-1 win over Taconic.

 

Nolan Stuebner opened the scoring with an assist from Everett Bayliss. Carson Huls set up Lukas Burrow to give the Mounties a 2-0 lead at half-time.

 

“The second half, we came out strong and took the first 10 minutes while also scoring a goal,” Taconic coach Jason Keller said.

 

Lucas Parise did the honors with an assist from Gabriel Candilore to cut Mount Greylock’s lead in half.

 

But Charlie Bayliss scored with an assist from Zin Doucette to make it 3-1. Then Asher Barrale finished the scoring off a pass from Liam Hnatonko.

 

Ward Bianchi made nine saves to earn the win in goal.

 

“Greylock arrived today with four starters and three others unable to play,” Mount Greylock coach Chris Kapiloff said. “Our second line did an incredible job stepping up against a very energetic and hardworking Taconic team. Nolan Stuebner and Charlie Bayliss both recorded their first varsity goals.”

 

Mount Greylock (3-3-1) hosts Lenox on Thursday.

 

Taconic (3-2-1) is at Wahconah on Thursday.
