PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Sean Ryan-Kut scored twice to lead the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team to a 3-0 win over St. Joseph on Tuesday.

Ryan-Kut's goal on an assist from Ben Trimarchi midway through the first half was all the offense the Hurricanes (5-4-2) needed with Colby Els stopping each of the three shots on goal he faced.

Early in the second half, Trimarchi had another assist, this time setting up David Haley to make it 2-0. Haley then was then set-up man on Ryan-Kut's second goal of the game midway through the half.

Hoosac compiled a 16-3 advantage in shots on goal and got a strong defensive effort from James Howe in snapping a two-game winless streak.

The Hurricanes will look to stay in the win column on Thursday when they travel to Sheffield to meet Mount Everett.
