Athlete of the Week: Nathan Majumder

Fresh off of a dominating junior season, Nathan Majumder quickly picked up where he left off last year, playing a major role in the offense of one of the top boys' teams in Berkshire County. The senior captain came up big in the Mounties' season-opening win over Lenox, factoring in all four of his team's goals in a 4-0 victory over the Millionaires. 

Majumder headed in the game winner off of a free kick by teammate Benni McComish in the 14th minute. He then assisted on his team's next three goals to seal the victory.  The attacking midfielder scored another goal in Greylock's 1-0 win over Hoosac Valley on Tuesday, scoring off another feed from McComish to earn a hard-fought decision over the Hurricanes. His goal in the ninth minute was the only strike the Mounties could manage on 24 shots.

While it was tough to break through against Hoosac, Majumder and his Greylock teammates had an easier time against St. Joe's on Friday. Majumder capped his stellar week by adding two more goals and two more assists in a 7-0 blowout win over the Crusaders.
