LENOX, Mass. — Lenox controlled most of the first half but could only get one goal from Andrew Vickery in the 13 minute. When a defensive lapse found Seamus Ryan with the ball in the Monument (11-2-2) zone, he passed to Vickery who punched it in for the 1-0 lead.

After some back and forth play the half ended 1-0. Both team went at it hard in the second half resulting in more back and forth play.

It looked like Lenox (4-6-5) was going to hold on for the 1-0 win but in the 68th minute Emil Ghitman Gilkes found Nick Maserio whose shot made it past the hands of Trevor Hathaway and the score was tied. Both teams played well and would have to settle with the tie 1-1.

Spartan goal keeper Aaron House made 4 saves while Hathaway finished with 6 for Lenox. Monument will host Cathedral on Saturday at 2 pm while Lenox will welcome Monson at 11 am.
