SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- One day after doubling up Drury in a 4-2 win, the Mount Greylock girls' soccer team ran away with its second straight road victory, scoring five goals in the second half to earn a 7-0 win over Mount Everett.

Seven different players found the back of the net for the Mounties, who won their third game in a row to improve to 8-3-3 on the season. The Eagles (3-13) kept the game close in the first half thanks to a gutsy performance from goalie Sam Hoover, who finished with 17 saves on the day. Still, Greylock went into halftime up 2-0 courtesy of goals from junior Miranda Bucky and senior Alexandra DeVeaux.

Tom Ostheimer's club turned it on the second half, however, scoring five more goals to put the game away, After Melissa Swann scored to make it 3-0, some of the Mounties' top defensive players found their way into the scoring column. Starting goalkeeper Margot Besnard, who made four saves in goal before leaving to play the field, scored her first goal of the year. The same thing happened to senior sweeper Alexa Adams, who also found the back of the net for the first time this season to make it 5-0. Rachel Clement and Haley Reinhard closed out the scoring for the visitors, collecting their first goals of the year as well.

Freshman Charlotte Rand made two saves in relief of Besnard in the Greylock goal. The Mounties will see Everett again on Friday in a game played at home at 4 p.m.
