CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Madi Ryan set up Fallon Field for a goal in the 11th minute, and that was all the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team needed in a 2-0 win over Frontier on Monday.

Lily Kronick scored an insurance goal on an assist from Maddie Vigna midway through the half, and Megan Richardson made 10 saves to make the lead stand up as Hoosac Valley improved to 4-6-1.

"Meg had some good saves to keep a shutout in the game," Hoosac coach Kirstin Holmgren said. "The girls had a good start in today's game and worked hard to keep the ball out of our net and on their half of the field."

The Hurricanes travel to face Lenox on Thursday.
