Mount Greylock Girls Improve to 6-0

LENOX, Mass. – The Mount Greylock girls soccer team Tuesday built a five-goal lead and earned a 5-1 win over Lenox.

 

Tanley Drake and Gabrielle Bergeron scored first-half goals for the Mounties.

 

“Both sides played so hard and it was a great game, back and forth for the majority of it,” Lenox coach Nicole Gamberoni said. “The 5-1 loss for us, we are putting behind us and moving forward. We have another two big games this week and I couldn’t be more proud of the girls for keeping their heads up and playing until the final whistle.

 

“Greylock is a great team with great players! We went in with a game plan that wasn’t as successful as we would have hoped.”

 

Jane Elliot scored for the Millionaires in the closing minutes.

 

Lenox (2-3) is at Holyoke on Wednesday.

 

Mount Greylock (6-0) hosts Wahconah on Friday.
