Mount Greylock Tops Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Tyanna Lepicier recorded seven kills Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a sweep of Taconic.

 

Lepicier also pulled up six digs and served an ace in the 25-17, 25-10, 25-18 win.

 

Olivia Perez finished with six kills, two aces, two digs and a block, and Cecelia Keogh had four kills and an ace for the Mounties.

 

“With two starters out and Greylock's talented squad, we knew we were in for a tough night,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “We actually played really well, but they were a little more than we could handle tonight. There were a few things that we didn't do well that would have made a difference, and they are on the top of our list for tomorrow's practice.”

 

Thunder libero Isla DiMassimo recorded 19 digs, and Gracie Cormier had six aces and five kills.

 

Taconic (2-2) is home against Ludlow on Monday.

 

Mount Greylock (3-0) is at Longmeadow on Saturday.
