Mount Greylock Opens with Win at Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Olivia Perez notched 13 kills Wednesday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a three-set win over Wahconah in the season-opener for both teams.

 

Mounties coach Faith Wehner recorded her first win at the helm of the Mounties by scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-13.

 

Tyanna Lepicier had six kills and served four aces, and Kaleigh Jaros recorded 15 assists while serving seven aces for Mount Greylock.

 

Wahconah was led by Ila Gagne with six kills. Delaney Drake passed out 11 assists, and Emma Russell served four aces. Violet Vale-Cruz pulled up eight digs in the loss.

 

Wahconah (0-1) is at Ludlow on Friday.

 

Mount Greylock (1-0) hosts Lee on Tuesday.
