NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- J.T. Sorrentino on Tuesday rolled a 269 to lead the Lee High bowling team to a 30-1 win over Wahconah that edged the Wildcats past Pittsfield in the Berkshire County bowling league.

Sorrentino had the best single game of the day for anyone in the league on Tuesday at Mount Greylock Bowl.

It helped Lee pull one point ahead of the Generals in the season standings.

Pittsfield won its match, a 27-4 decision over Lenox, but the three-point differential in margin of victory was enough to push the Wildcats up the ladder.

Meanwhile, Drury beat St. Joseph 22-9 to maintain a slim hold on the top spot in the league. Through seven weeks of competition, the Blue Devils have 174 points to Lee's 170 and Pittsfield's 169.

Taconic is fourth with 140 points.

Lee's big day on Tuesday came despite a standout individual performance by Lee's Tom Hankey Jr., who had the day's best series, a 472.

Drury was led by Kayla Field, who rolled the top series (371) and top game (198) among the girls.

The league has a little more than a week off before competing at Ken's Bowl in Pittsfield on Jan. 23, a day that will feature a showdown between Pittsfield and Lee. Drury that day will face fifth-place Wahconah.
