Pittsfield Boys, Girls Win at Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass, -- Amanda Wright won the 400 meters, the long jump and the triple jump to lead the Pittsfield girls track and field team to a 98-43 win over Drury on Tuesday.
 
In the boys meet, Jay Doucette, Evan Bossio and Josh Bonny each was a double winner to lead the PHS boys to a 110-31 win.
 
Wright went 15 feet, 11 inches in the long jump and 32-6 in the triple jump and 
won the 400 with a time of 1 minute, 3 seconds.
 
Pittsfield's Taylor Patti won the high hurdles (17.4) and the 200 meters (28.9).
 
For Drury, Celene Koperek won the 800 (2:37) and the mile (5:54).
 
In the boys meet, Doucette won the 100 meters (11.6) and shot put (37-6.5). Bossio took the javelin (138-3) and 200 (24.1). And Bonny won the high hurdles (15.1) and high jump (5-8), where he cleared 8 inches higher than the second-place jumper.
 
For Drury, Connor Meehan won the mile (4:42) and the 800 (2:14). Chris Andrews broke up Pittsfield's monopoly on the field event titles with a winning throw of 118-3 in the discus.
