Mount Everett Boys, Girls Tennis Pick Up Wins

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- The Mount Everett boys tennis team Wednesday swept the doubles matches to earn a 3-2 win over St. Mary's.
 
The Eagles girls also took their match against the visiting Saints, 4-1.
 
For the boys, the Mount Everett pairings of Matt Kane/Mark Gogel and Jake Martin/Ethan Benoit each won in straight sets.
 
At No. 2 singles, Gary Duval picked up an easy 6-0, 6-0 win.
 
Madeline VonRuden and Shelby Tinker won their matches at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, in straight sets.
 
The Eagles girls also took both doubles matches, getting wins from Madison Tinker/Rochele Worth at No. 1 and Carly Duval/Mercedes Holst-Grubbe at No. 2.
