Mount Greylock Downs Mount Everett
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Jacob Hillman finished at 1-under-par 35 on the front nine at Waubeeka Thursday to lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 175-238 win over Mount Everett.
Hillman bogeyed the second hole, but leveled his score with a birdie on the par-4 fifth.
He then birdied the par-5 eighth hole to get under par for the round.
"[Hillman] was the only player that had no trouble with the swirling winds at Waubeeka which led to some higher than normal scores from the home team Mounties," Mount Greylock coach Erik Tiele said.
Max Wied carded a 46 for the Mounties, who got rounds of 47 from three different players to round out the scoring.
Mason Kemp led Mount Everett with a 55. Johnny Ireland finished at 59 for the Eagles.
Mount Everett (0-2) hosts Lenox on Wednesday.
Mount Greylock (3-0) is at Wahconah on Tuesday.
