Mount Everett Icers Blank Turners Falls

Jake Corcoran had a goal and an assist, and Jonah Swotes made 17 saves to lead the Mount Everett hockey team to a 4-0 win over Turners Falls on Tuesday night.
 
"This was the best team effort from Mount Everett all season," coach Aidan Gilligan said. "The players were checking hard and blocking shots to help preserve the shutout for Swotes."
 
Mount Everett got all the offense it needed in the first period when David Ibanez scored on the power play with help from Corcoran and Peter Lovejoy.
 
In the second, the Eagles got goals from David Conlon, Corcoran and Trevor Hathaway.
 
Mount Everett hosts Shepaug on Wednesday night at the Berkshire School.
