SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Trevor Hathaway had a hat trick to lead the Mount Everett hockey team to a 7-3 win over Wahoncah on Thursday night at the Berkshire School.
 
Hathaway scored on assists from Jake Corcoran and Jacob Malicky to give the Eagles a 4-3 lead late in the third period.
 
Then in the third, Malicky scored twice, and Hathaway tacked on a goal with 30 seconds on the clock.
 
Corcoran and Adam Derwtsch each scored a goal for Mount Everett.
 
Wahconah got all its offense in the second period, with two goals from Jeff Hancock and one from Vinnie Orlandi.
 
Jonah Swotes got the win between the pipes for Mount Everett (9-5-3), which travels to play Easthampton on Saturday.
 
Wahconah (9-8) plays West Springfield on Saturday at the Olympia Ice Center.
