Taconic Hockey Wins Big on Road in Opener

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Brandan Peaslee scored four goals to lead the Taconic hockey team to an 8-4, season-opening win over St. Mary's on Friday night.
 
Shane Tierney scored twice and set up two goals for Taconic. Tierney scored the first goal of the game unassisted and set up the next two as Taconic took a 4-0 lead into the first intermission.
 
Connor Conant and Hunter Hoag each scored goal, and Mike Schnopp made 20 saves in the win.
 
Taconic hosts Wahconah on Wednesday at the Boys & Girls Club.
