Taconic Icers Fall to Brattleboro, Vt.

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -- The Brattleboro Union High School hockey team scored four second-period goals to erase a 2-1 deficit on the way to a 6-3 win over Taconic on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Jim Curtis had two goals and an assist for the Colonels.
 
Taconic scored the game's first two goals early in the first period. First, Brandan Peaslee converted assists from Kevin Quinto and Connor Conant. Then Shane Tierney scored an unassisted goal to give his team a 2-0 lead.
 
After Taconic fell behind, 5-2, at the second intermission, Harrison Rapant's unassisted goal made it a two-goal game.
 
But Brattleboro scored with less than a minute left to put the game back out of reach.
 
Taconic (1-4) travels to face Amherst on Saturday.
