Wahconah's Perenick Wins State Pentathlon Title

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Wahconah’s Alex Perenick won the pentathlon on Thursday at the Division 6 Track and Field Championship at Westfield State University.
 
Perenick won the 110-meter hurdles (16.11 seconds), long jump (20 feet, 8.5 inches) and 1500 run (4:36.35). He placed second in the shot put (39-3) and fourth in the high jump (5-5.75).
 
He finished with 3,202 points to beat out eight other competitors. Littleton’s Max Thouy placed second with 2,763 points.
