Taconic Boys Lacrosse Downs Hoosac
CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Brad Cobb scored four goals, and Mike Perkett scored three goals with three assists to lead the Taconic High School boys lacrosse team to a 13-5 win over Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.
Mitchell Parise scored twice and added an assist for Taconic, which was backstopped by Josh Tassone (10 saves).
For Hoosac, Stephin Wallace scored three goals and Ryan Bartlett made 11 saves.
Wallace scored the first goal of the third quarter on an assist from Brendon Ellsworth to give the Hurricanes a 3-2 lead, but Taconic scored the next six, starting with Brandon Walton's unassisted goal to tie the game.
It was 8-3, Taconic before Mike Lemanski scored for Hoosac midway through the fourth. But Taconic scored five straight to put the game out of reach.
