Wahconah Girls Lacrosse Down Holyoke Catholic

DALTON, Mass. -- Perin Genaway's hat trick and two goals apiece from Emmy Cote and Paige Chiaretta propelled the Wahconah girls lacrosse team to an 11-4 win over Holyoke Catholic on Tuesday.

 

Cote added three assists, and Wahconah got a goal each from Catherine Fusini, Morgan Francese, Angela Colson and Alex Wood.

 

Luz Culpepper and Michaela DeFoe combined to stop five shots in the win.

 

For Holyoke Catholic, Cady Tyburski scored twice.

 

"It was a nice win, seeing as how the first time we played them we tied," Wahconah coach Kathy Budaj said. "The girls were looking for the open passes and played solid defense."
