WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Mount Greylock's Will Nolan picked up a dominating win at No. 2 singles, and the Mounties swept doubles play on Wednesday to beat South Hadley, 3-2, and advance to Friday's Western Massachusetts Division 3 championship match.

Top-seeded Mount Greylock (15-1) will face No. 3 Monument Mountain (12-2), on Friday at 3:30 at Lee High School.
"[Nolan] was playing amazing tennis," Mount Greylock coach Steve Bryant said.

At first doubles, twins Matt and Aaron Kleiner defeated South Hadley's Austin Ford and Conor Barbacki, 6-0, 5-1 (retired). At No. 2 doubles, Mount Greylock's Gray Kaegi and Matt Wiseman beat Matty Loughrey and Robbie Lak, 6-0, 6-0.

The Mounties dropped a couple of tough decisions in singles play.

At No. 1, Mikey Miele defeated Nyein Soe, 7-5, 6-1.

"If Nyein took the first set, I think the outcome would have been different," Bryant said. "Mikey Miele was quick and got to every ball, forcing long rallies. Nyein just wasn't feeling his shots and played too passive."

At No. 3 singles, South Hadley's Dante Pio beat Alex Cheung, 6-4, 6-4.

"Alex started to make a late comeback in the second set, but it was too late," Bryant said.
