Majetich Leads Mount Greylock Girls

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Mount Greylock's Alex Majetich set a school record in the 100 meter dash to lead the Mounties to a three-point victory over Monument Mountain on Friday at Williams College.

The Mount Greylock girls beat the Spartans, 72-69, and Lenox, 93-48, in a three-way meet among the schools.

Majetich crossed the line in 12.20 seconds for one of her three individual wins on the day. She also won the long jump (15 feet, 4 inches) and the 200 (26.3).

Monument's boys defeated the hosts, 111-30, behind a four-win performance by Connor Storti.

Storti won the long jump (21-0.5) and triple jump (40-2) and swept the 100 (11.10) and 200 (23.4) for the Spartans.

Mount Greylock's Tommy Kirby won the mile (4:54) and finished sixth in the 800, which was won by teammate Carter Stripp (2:06).

The Mount Greylock boys outpointed Lenox, 76.5 to 64.5.
