Mount Greylock Starts Season with a Win

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Three Mount Greylock Mounties finished at 3-over-par Monday to tie for medalist honors and lead their team to a 161-210 win over Mount Everett at Wyantenuck.

 

Jacob Hillman, Kai Nafziger and Rodrick Rustay tied for medalist honors at 39 apiece on the front nine. Max Wied carded a 44 to round out the scoring for Mount Greylock (1-0).

 

Rustay recorded birdies on the par-4 sixth and par-4 ninth holes.

 

Gus Gleason and Mason Kemp each birdied the finishing hole for the Eagles. Gleason led Mount Everett with a round of 50.

 

Mount Everett (0-1) is at Waubeeka on Thursday to finish the season series against the Mounties.

 

Mount Greylock first is on the road Wednesday to take on Pittsfield High.
