Lee Girls, Mount Greylock Boys Earn Wins on Williams Courts

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Maddy DeSantis won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles to help lead the Lee girls tennis team to a 4-1 win over Mount Greylock (0-2) on Monday afternoon.
 
The Mount Greylock boys won their match against the Wildcats, 5-0, in an outing that included a forefeit victory at No. 3 singles.
 
In the girls match, Ava Martin record a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles, and Lee got wins from the doubles tandems of Kayla Withers/Ashley Kelly and Kate Delsignore/Anna Wang.
 
Tara Shastri earned Mount Greylock's point with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles.
 
On the boys side, Will Nolan recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles. Nyein Soe had to work a little harder at No. 1, prevailing 6-0, 6-1.
 
The Mounties (2-0) also got doubles wins from Jake Foehl/Gray Kaegi at No. 1 and Matt Wiseman/Brady Foehl at No. 2.
