Mount Greylock Boys Dominate at Nordic Ski Race

BUCKLAND, Mass. — Will Nolan led the way as Mount Greylock's boys took five top-10 places in Saturday's cross-country ski event at Mohawk Trail Regional High School.
 
Nolan finished in 16 minutes, 8 seconds, just ahead of Northfield Mount Hermon's Henry Colt (16:11).
 
Matthew Wiseman, Jake Foehl, Derek Wood and Ian Culnane each finished in the top 10 for the Mounties.
 
Wahconah's Curran Doyle finished eighth, Lenox's Matas Rudzinskas was 11th, and Hoosac's Jared Haley was 16th.
 
On the girls' side, Lenox's Josie Marshall was first in 18:33, ahead of Mohawk's Allison Lull in 18:41.
 
Mount Greylock's Grace Smith failed to win for the first time this year but finished third in 19:23. She was followed in short order by six teammates who finished 13th or better: Sophie Gerry, Christina Butcher, Abby Wiseman, Greta Savitsky, Ellie Williams and Zavi Sheldon.
 
NMH's Roo Weed was fourth, and Wahconah's Ellen Ross finished fifth.
