Mount Greylock Boys, Girls Cruise to Wins at Cross Country Meet

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Mount Greylock girls and boys cross country teams were dominant in a four-team meet at Reid Middle School on Wednesday.

 

The Mounties took the top six places in the girls race, led by Brenna Lopez, who finished in 20 minutes, 20 seconds, 38 seconds ahead of teammate Riley Mae Dickinson.

 

Mount Greylock’s boys swept the top three places and took five of the top six. Patrick Holland led the way in 1:39, three seconds ahead of Luke Irwin.

 

The sole non-Mountie in the top six was Pittsfield HIgh’s Cohen Zahn, who placed fourth in 18:07.

 

Mount Greylock won its dual meets against Lenox and Pittsfield with ease in the girls and boys races.

 

Zahn led the PHS boys to a narrow win over Taconic, which also fell to Lenox.

 

In the girls’ competition, Pittsfield and Lenox each earned a win over Taconic.
