NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Connor Hinkell struck out 14 Thursday in pitching the Drury baseball team to a 4-0 win over McCann Tech at Joe Wolfe Field.

Hinkell scattered four hits, and the Blue Devils played error-free defense in finishing the regular season with a record of 15-5.

Drury made the most of its two hits, from Nick Sacco and Julian Feliciano, who each drove in a run.

The Blue Devils got all the offense they needed in the bottom of the first. Steven Cornell reached on an error, moved to second on an error, took third on Hinkell’s groundout and scored on an error.

McCann Tech’s Lukas Rylander, Nick Gilman and Collin Booth combined on the two-hitter, allowing just one earned run.

The Hornets (11-8) and Blue Devils both learn on Wednesday who they will face in their openers in the state tournament.
