Taconic Tops Drury

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ed Ferris hit a grand slam in a 10-run Taconic second inning, the Thunder went on to a 14-3 win over Drury on Saturday.

 

Gavin Maffuccio scattered six hits and allowed one earned run in a complete-game, five-inning win on the mound.

 

Gavin O’Donnell went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs, and Cam Reynolds and Tyler Arseneau each went 2-for-3 in the win.

 

For Drury, Brayden Durant and Connor Hinkell each doubled and had two hits, and Julian Feliciano doubled.

 

Taconic (7-9) hosts South Hadley on Monday afternoon in the Western Massachusetts Class B Quarter-finals.

 

Drury finishes its regular season 13-5 and hosts Athol on Monday in the quarter-finals of the Western Mass Class C Tournament.
