Mount Everett Advances Past St. Mary's

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Cameron Coon went 4-for-4 with three RBIs Monday to lead the Mount Everett baseball team to a 14-4 win over St. Mary’s in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D Tournament.
 
Brody Kinna struck out eight and allowed two earned runs in five innings of work on the mound before giving the ball to Brady Carpenter to complete the six-inning win.
 
Kinna helped his cause by going 2-for-4 with a double. Carpenter also went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs.
 
J.J. Schneider had four runs batted in in an 11-hit attack for the Eagles.
 
Second-seeded Mount Everett (17-1) will be home in the regional semi-finals against either Ware or Palmer, who met later Monday night.
