Mount Everett Baseball Edges Lee

LEE, Mass. – Nathaniel von Ruden and Jacob Kreis drove in runs in a two-run third inning Monday that paved the way for a 4-2 win for the Mount Everett baseball team at Lee.
 
Von Ruden hit a one-out sacrifice fly to score Grant Chase, who led off the inning with a double, to put the Eagles ahead, 2-1.
 
Then Matt Lowe drew a walk, stole second and scored on Kreis’ single to left.
 
Kreis ended up going 2-for-4 on the day with a pair of RBIs to lead a three-hit Mount Everett attack.
 
Sean Warren earned the win on the mound, striking out seven and allowing one earned run in four innings of work. Michael Devoti and Michael Ullrich came on in relief, with Ullrich earning the save with a scoreless seventh.
 
Lee (2-8) hosts Drury on Tuesday.
 
Mount Everett (8-4) is at McCann Tech on Tuesday.
