Taconic Knocks Off Westfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Evan Roccabruna and Gavin Maffuccio Monday combined to scatter seven hits in leading the Taconic baseball team to an 8-2 win over Westfield.

 

Roccabruna gave up two runs - one earned – in five innings of work on the mound before giving the ball to Maffuccio, who threw two scoreless innings.

 

Ethan led the Thunder’s offense, going 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Gavin O’Donnell went 2-for-4, doubled and scored a pair of runs.

 

Roccabruna and Quentin Christopher each singled and drove in a run in a seven-hit Taconic attack.

 

Taconic (3-6) is home again on Thursday against Springfield Central.
