CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Devin Kogut laid down a suicide squeeze bunt to score Henry Sniezek in the bottom of the eighth and give the Hoosac Valley baseball team an 8-7, walkoff win over Mohawk Trail on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes scored a run in the sixth and a run in the seventh to erase a two-run deficit and force extra innings.

Luc Trombley earned the win on the mound with 3-⅔ innings of scoreless relief of starter Sniezek. Trombley struck out two, walked two and scattered three hits to keep Mohawk scoreless.

The winning rally in the eighth started when Sniezek earned a one-out walk.

Trombley then bunted his way on base, and an overthrow advanced the runners to second and third.

John Krol drew an intentional walk to bring Kogut to the plate, and he delivered with the game-winning bunt.

Krol earlier had homered and went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs to lead an 11-hit Hoosac attack.

Cole Desroches and Trombley each had a pair of hits, and Joe Degere drove in three runs.

Hoosac Valley (3-5) hosts Mount Greylock on Thursday.
