Donati Powers Pittsfield to Win Over Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. -- Kevin Donati went 5-for-6 and hit for the cycle to lead the Pittsfield baseball team to an 19-3 win over Wahconah on Wednesday.
 
Ryan Grande went 4-for-4 with five runs scored, and Dominic Traversa went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and a double for the Generals (10-4).
 
Bobby New got the win on the mound, striking out eight.
 
Ethan Wells doubled and Kyle Kirchner singled in a two-run third for Wahconah.
 
Pittsfield plays at Taconic on Saturday afternoon.
 
Wahconah hosts Drury on Thursday, a game originally scheduled for Friday but moved up to avoid predicted rain.
