NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- The Western Massachusetts Baseball Tournament seedings were announced Monday evening at Northampton High School.

Eight Berkshire County baseball teams have qualified for the tournament for the 2015 season.

For Division 1; Pittsfield High School who finished with a record of 16-4 earned the No. 4 seed and a bye to round two, where they will meet with No. 5 Amherst at Clapp Park on Monday, June 8.

Taconic finished with a record of 12-8 and enters the playoffs on a two-game winning streak. Taconic earned the No. 11 seed in D1 and will play at No. 6 Holyoke Wednesday. If it advances to round two, it will meet with No. 3 Central on Monday, June 8.

Mount Greylock finished with a regular season record of 17-3, earning the No.1 seed in Division 3; the Mounties will play the winner of No. 8 Mohawk and No. 9 Frontier on Monday, June 8. Wahconah, finishing with a record of 14-6, earned the No. 3 seed and a bye to the second round, where it will host No. 6 Easthampton on Monday. Drury, also finishing, with a record of 14-6 earned the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 South Hadley. No. 10 Hoosac Valley will travel to No. 7 Hampshire Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start.

In Division 3, it is very likely that the four of the Berkshire County teams will meet up again. If both Mount Greylock and Drury win in round two, they will play against one another in the sectional semi-finals. The two teams played each other once in the regular season, back on May 1; the Mounties coming out on the winning end 8-1. Hoosac Valley will have to make it past Hampshire and Southwick for the chance of them meeting up with Wahconah in round three if the Wahconah takes a ‘W’ against Southwick. Hoosac and Wahconah met three times this season with Wahconah winning twice.

For Division 4, McCann Tech earned the No. 5 seed, finishing with a regular season record of 17-5. They will play No. 12 Westfield Voc Wednesday at 4 p.m. No. 7 Lenox (10-10) will host No. 10 Holyoke Catholic at War Memorial Field, Wednesday at 4 p.m.
