WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Freshman Robbie Buffis introduced himself to the Mount Greylock baseball community on Saturday. With the Mounties leading Lee 5-3 in the top of the third inning, Buffis came on in relief, ended the Wildcats' three-run frame and closed out his team's 11-3 win by pitching four innings of no-hit baseball.

Buffis came off the bench to relieve Greylock starter Brandon DeCelles, who allowed three earned runs on seven hits through the first two and two-third innings of the game. Buffis was sharp in his season debut, striking out four Lee batters without a walk in picking up his first victory of the season.

The Mounties' offense responded by scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning to open up a comfortable 9-3 lead. Senior Tommy Nowlan led the charge for the Greylock offense, going 4 for 4 with three RBI and a run scored, raising his team-leading batting average to .404 in the process. Fellow captain Kevin Agostini had two of the five doubles on the day for Steve Messina's club.

The Mounties (7-7) next host Mount Everett at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
